This week the Food Team has been doing follow up support visits and seeing how the Jumbucks Pie & a Pint pubs are doing.
Gentleman Jim's, Alton
The pub has been running the Jumbucks/Fosters Pie & a Pint deal and they are now looking to order more pies in ready for the football season to start.
White Hart, Aldershot
We advised the tenant on having SFBB pack filled in and food for teams to be stored separately from their own food when using a domestic kitchen. We also suggested they serve takeaway pizzas rather than their locals order food from other takeaways and make profit from this opportunity.
Old House At Home, Queenborough
Having previously visited this pub, the tenant asked us to re-visit - we were delighted at the progress made, and the tenant now has employed a part time chef.
Eight Bells, Canterbury
Another Pie & a Pint pub doing well at weekends. They have also started doing Sunday lunches and BBQs with their new found confidence with food.
Crown, Shoreham
Having served food for some time in their pub, we were able to help the tenants with costing dishes correctly and portion sizes to ensure they are making profit from their food.
Harvest Home, Portsmouth
Already doing the Jumbucks Pie & a Pint offer the tenants are now ordering more pies in for the football season.
Porters Lodge, London
The tenants have just started serving hot meals & snacks with a franchise arrangement with the cafe next door, we advised on the correct food safety procedures required for this arrangement.
