Hospitality Apprenticeships and NVQs are nationally designed training programmes offering employees the opportunity to enhance their career through a combination of training and assessment. Programmes are offered at two levels.
How does it work?
- Babcock visit the potential candidate and employer
- They will carry out an induction and explain what their Apprenticeship will involve
- Once the learner is signed up to a programme, an individual learning plan is agreed
- The learner will be visited regularly by their Vocational Learning Adviser who will help them towards the qualification
- The Vocational Learning Adviser will keep the employer informed
- Technical certificates and key skills exams will be arranged and monitored by the Vocational Learning Adviser
We have included an outline of what you would need to do to achieve an NVQ on the following pages (see menu on the left for NVQ's in hospitality).
Remember your qualification is transferable - if you move on from your current position you can carry on your course at your new place of work.
