Food Planning

Find out more about planning your menu effectively to maximise sales

Define your menu style

Every pub has a style of operation and a particular image associated with it, the surroundings and atmosphere are all part of the product offering.

Ensure that the bar snacks / menu reflects the right image for your pub and that the dishes use the right ingredients e.g. local produce if relevant to your area, comfort food for a cosy British pub etc.

So what should you consider when creating and presenting your menu to your customer?

Simplicity is best - keep it simple when presenting your menu.

Menu holders - A simple small plain perspex holder on each table containing your menu will suffice.

Menu holders - must always be immaculate, any cracked, scratched or beer stained menus should be disposed of.

Ensure that you always have menus available - customers must be able to see them, dont leave them piled up in a corner.
