Costing an event

Make sure you make a profit, or at least break even whenever you run a promotional event.

When costing an event you need to make sure:

  • you know exactly what the total costs of the event will be
  • how much extra sales will you need to take to break even
  • that the event will be feasible in terms of costs and extra effort involved
  • that you review the event's success with regards to profitability and opinion of your customers
