So, you want to introduce food into your pub?

Use this section to help you plan your food and menu appropriately, to ensure your menu is successful and you make as much profit as possible from food sales.

Have you thought about all of the opportunities there might be to serve food in your pub?

  • Local meeting groups or clubs
  • Takeaway food particularly before close instead of the local kebab/ chip shop
  • Takeaway coffee/ tea and bacon rolls in the morning
  • Catering for local offices or companies
  • Give your customers the opportunity to pre-order their food by phone if they are on a brief lunch hour
  • Loyalty schemes to reward your customers
  • Weekend breakfasts- your pubs aren't going to smell of smoke after July 1st and there aren't many good greasy spoons left!
  • Make sure you meet the food team -the right advise for your pub (see menu on left)
